             Introduction of Sight Improving Gong Course
         Sight Improving Gong is an eyes exercise which composes in accordance with the principle of eastern and western myopia treatment and prevention. This exercise integrates mind releasing, breath adjustment, body exercise and eyes movement through the combination of body exercise and massage. By exercising, the circulation of head and eyes could be improved, and consequently, it will not only relieve the eye strain symptoms such as: dry, swelling, blurry vision, and also reduce the diopter of myopia, prevent and retard the vision loss.
         Sight Improving Gong consists of eight movements and lasts for eight minutes. Gentle music and moderate exercise intensity benefit both mind and body. This set of movements is directly relevant to eyes. Movements such as: Stretch to Embrace Spring, The Dragon looks backwardly, Phoenix Flies towards the Sun, Lion Holds the Ball, are designed to regulate the function of extraocular muscles by moving eyes upwardly and downwardly, left and right, obliquely, and circularly; the movement “Push the Mountain and Shove the Sea” is relevant to regulate the function of ciliary muscle, orbicularis muscle, and eyelid muscle.

      明目增视功课程简介

         明目增视功是遵循中西医学防治原理创编而成的眼部康养锻炼方法,该功法采用运动结合按摩的方式,将意念放松、呼吸调节、形体运动与眼部运动巧妙融为一体,既可有效改善头颈及眼部血液循环,缓解眼干、眼涩、眼酸胀、视物模糊等视疲劳症状,又可降低近视眼屈光度,预防和减缓视力下降。

功法由 8 个动作组成,共 8 分钟,音乐舒缓,运动绵绵,身心兼养。这套功法,针对性强。如:功法中“万物迎春”“祥龙回眸”“丹凤朝阳”“金狮揉球”等技术,是有针对性地设计了眼部上下运动、左右运动、斜方向运动以及环转运动等眼神练习,目的在于调节眼外肌;“排山倒海”是针对调理睫状肌、轮匝肌、眼睑肌等的练习方法。

During the covid-19 pandemic, when so many of us are very restricted in our movements, it is even more important for people of all ages and abilities to be as active as possible.  TCQGAA will hold free live online exercise classes.  Our instructors will teach you some Tai chi and Qigong movements that can help you to ease muscle strain, relieve mental tension and improve blood circulation.
